Seed 41869 has a weirder problem. It generates the main island as two islands, and the exit portal doesn't generate. Only a short column of bedrock blocks appear at Y 0-2, similar to what's shown at 2:25. MC-93185 is the related bug report.

This isn't a new thing. Minecraft has always generated the main end island with a variable number of blocks, and sometimes that number can be 0.

The achievement is called "The End?" for a reason. Sometimes the answer is "No".

I think I remember looking into this a while back. I believe this happens because the end island's random generation also randomly generates size, but there’s no limit to how small it can get. So, in some circumstances, you can end up with an end that just isn’t there.

I’ve heard about this before. It is where the end island in generation when choosing how many blocks to generate chooses 0. There are also seeds where there is one block or 2 in the end. It isn’t a glitch it is a part of extremely rare world generation. I think that seed finders have found around 12 seeds where this happens. This means it is nigh impossible to come across if you are normally playing minecraft.

i've seen a video on this, according to said video this happens because there's no minimum amount of blocks the seed can generate for the end island so there's a chance it'll attempt to generate 0 blocks

These seeds were actually discovered quite a while ago by Andrew in our server by writing code to find them all!
