I decided to sit down and binge watch all of the new series of The Man in the High Castle. How is it? Does it deserve all the praise and views its getting on Amazon. To put it bluntly.....YES.

to be fair the factions in the tv show are quite morally grey in comparison to each other, frankly I felt the people trying to kill hitler (SPOILER: Reinhard Heydrich) were potentially much worse than hitler himself, and everywhere Juliana turns, she faces death, even in the face of the highly paranoid resistance (who frankly are just as paranoid as Obergruppenführer Smith)

I found the woman to be extremely annoying. From her on the bus saying wait and moving as slow as possible. To saying I don't need your money when she can't pay at the diner. People just acted stupid occasionally.

WARNING SPOILER
The show started out quite engaging but towards the end it left me dissatisfied. It initially sold me (audience) what could've been had the Axis won WWII and how a new America would operate with two super powers governing it. However, the 9th & 10th episode totally ruined that. Specifically the film where it shows Joe killing Frank (so now the films are able to foretell the future?). From then on it became a Sci-Fi show, which is fine but that was not I was sold from the beginning. The show ends on a low note and offers more questions than answers. I'm not sure how the second season will address the films, the subtle alluding of an alternate world or if we'll get to find out who the man in high tower is. The show ended disappointingly.

I watched the whole 10 episode season 1 and then read the book because I thought it would explain the last episode. That didn't happen. I like the series better, and hope there is a season 2. I really didn't understand the ending of the book, and it seemed like it left a lot of the story unfinished regarding the characters.

I wish the show didnt have the fantasic elements like the films. I would rather see a drama in this setting without the sci-fi bits.

i stumbled over this series and i am not that convinced, the book is one of those books i read once a year, so i think i know it really well.
for me it is far too overdone. ask a guy from hollywood to carry a bucket from A to B and he will do it pulling of flicflacs on strings.
it starts right out physically violent. it is too.."evil". i am german and i dont want to say nazis were cool or such rubbish, but i think the heaviest point in the book is how much hasnt changed and how much the humanity and people havent changed, even if the world is "upside-down".
i estimated it to be more like the book. perhaps im nitpicky, i dont think any movie of phillip k. dick´s books matched the feelings i felt while reading them, yes sadly..ridley scott´s bladerunner included (but a scanner darkly was effin near to it).
i just watched two episodes from now on and i dont know if i am able to finish it.

Buddy there is no way to compare the Nazi regime with any other regime back then or today. You could compare the Nazi regime to North Korea, but even then, the Nazis did worse things. America would be a living nightmare. Trust me, im from Europe and the memories of the Nazi occupation are still fresh. If you want to discuss what the Nazis did in WW2, im happy to enlighten you. Believing killing people is right and feel sympathy, is like feeling sympathy for the Serial killers. I wish you knew what happened back then because no show can have the Nazi atrocities. Otherwise would be a horror show 18+.

Thats is mistake if ypu check history we were dragons not angels .Ametica our nation will be not good .The reality is not so far away.
