My take FWIW. I love that Google has not made a Galaxy Fold wannabe and gone in a different direction targeting those of us that dislike the Fold4 outer display. There are many of us, and that means Google has a captive market to start with. I only want a foldable like this for a bigger display when I need it, not really for split-screen. So for me, the Pixel is much closer to my needs than the Fold. What that means is competition and choices. We should all be thankful of that.

No competition for galaxy in the UK as Google seem to have forgotten how exchange rates work so it means the z fold is over £100 cheaper than the pixel fold

I don't see why everyone is so concerned about pricing? Galaxy fold 4 was the same price when it launched. For all I care this phone has better Camera system than the Fold 4, better front display and I actually prefer bezels. It's easier to hold the phone without smudging the screen. The only thing I'm concerned about is the battery life considering the average battery life of Pixel 7 Pro.

What sets Google's Pixel line apart all other Android devices is the Vanella Android experience. I've been using pure Android for many years and I've tried to switch a few times. Nothing beats the pure Android experience in my eyes compared to other devices. Just my thought for ya.. ITS PURE 🔥! 😁😁

I'll definitely wait for the second presentation of this phone and compare it to the Fold 6. Love the idea of a wider front screen and how it is completely flat when closed, which is still not the case for the Fold 4, but Samsung will probably fix that by then.

Bezels = better camera + better hinges + area to place thumb to hold. People need to get over the bezel nonsense.

Fold 3 user since release and I prefer this wider outer screen rather than the slim outer screen of samsung. Hope samsung makes a fold variant with this size.

I don’t mind the bezels on inside. It’s still a bigger screen. I have the food 4 but the wider screen on the outside might have me switch.

I actually prefer the slimmer screen on my fold. It's much easier to use with one hand. Also I used to drop my old one plus quite often because it was just to big and wide for my hand.

Until a foldable is around $1000 or less, it won't be accessible to everyone.
