Would kill for you
Does everything she can to care for you mentally
And doesn’t even care he likes another girl sure there was some manipulation with her telling him it’s a bad idea to see Jana now that she’s an idol but still I feel that’s more to protect him from another Ai incident
And not to mention she sits on a gold mine of information about the person she loves and only uses it to help him never once does she threaten or even suggest using it against him

You will not find another girl like this even in fiction she’s an anomaly

I feel like Akane feels grateful for Aqua but my theory is that feelings of love probably stem from her acting as Ai because she gets really immersed into this role that it probably seeped out esp when she found out *spoiler* that aqua is Ai's child, making her want to go to great lengths to protect him.

Akane had the most normal upbringing among all the cast and still managed to be the most psycho is still so funny to me tho 😂

I dont know if anyone noticed but during the kiss scene her starry eyes disappear, i feel like it's an indication of her breaking the act she was putting up for Aqua and showing her true feelings

I know nothing about this show but A. The animation, gorgeous, so beautiful, I love the eyes and their symbolism. And B. It’s odd how Aqua’s ideal woman is like-his mom? And that his love interest (ish) also reminds him of his mom? I get that it’s complicated and it’s not really romantic but it’s a little weird to me. I don’t really have a huge issue with it.

I have to say, the 3 anime that have probably threw the hardest and most constant curveballs at me in the last decade have been Angel Beats, Oregairu, and Oshi No Ko. they are the 3 anime where I had a generic expectation of them, and instead absolutely blindsided me and just kept punching me in the gut over, and over, and and over....
