Let's talk about the true story behind the urban legend of La Llorona. The story begins with a beautiful woman named Maria. She falls in love with the most handsome man in town but he can't marry her because he comes from a very wealthy family and Maria is a poor village girl. He wants to make the relationship work so he buys Maria a house outside of town and they eventually have two children together. Maria lived in this house with the children and the man would often visit them to show love to Maria and play with the children.
However, after some time, the man stopped visiting Maria and the children. It turns out that he was having an affair and was leaving Maria to go be with another woman. When Maria heard this, she was filled with so much anger. So, in a fit of rage, Maria drOwned her two children in the river. Once she realized what she had done, she was immediately filled with regret. Now, Maria haunts the streets at night, looking for her children.....
