This is a good way to quickly simulate smoke if you are still avoiding learning mantaflow. :)

you can use textures in the particle settings below to make the end tail particles "scale to zero" falloff controlled by a colour ramp...rather than fading them ... just an idea

Very cool way to generate the effect, especially for my slow computer (i hope). Will definitely try it over the weekend for one of my simulation that i am planning to do

yeah I hate the fact the particle info node doesn't work in evee
