Those ants are braver than me! I have always feared wasps since I was attacked by them when I was five. The pain is horrible when you're that young.

First off the nest is evacuated... And the ant's are scavenging it for food. But no wasps.. probably out of season.

These wasps are mostly social and they usually do not bother people. I get these in my wasp traps and release them. My traps are for the yellowjacket queens. If you mow, the yellowjackets can be a literal pain and are the real danger but these guys don't want to hurt no one. The only thing is their nests are unsightly on a house. I don't like the way they look but the wasps themselves? I let them go all the time and they never try to sting me.
