Ramakrishna Paramahansa - the story of True Mahatma #chinmayamission
The moral of this conversation is that physical suffering can affect everyone, regardless of their spiritual realization or state of consciousness. Even those who have attained higher levels of spiritual understanding, like Ramakrishna, can experience physical pain when they are identified with their body. This underscores the human experience of physical suffering and the distinction between spiritual consciousness and bodily identification.

Philosophical Perspective:
Reference to the Upanishads, suggesting that a realized person experiences no problems in a state of higher consciousness.
However, when identified with the body, even a realized person can suffer.
Example of Ramakrishna:
Ramakrishna, a spiritual figure, is mentioned as an example.
Despite his spiritual realization, he experienced excruciating pain, demonstrating that physical suffering can affect even those who are spiritually advanced.

Even great beings like Rama, Krishna, Shiva underwent sufferings like ordinary people, but they were beyond that

RamaKrishna had cancer, reason for that suffering is not prarabdah of his own, but he has taken sins of householder devotees hence reason for his suffering.
RamaKrishna consort Sarada Devi had darshan of Kali and Sarada noticed throat cancer on Kali's neck.
He can remain in pure consciousness and can come to physical realm at his own will. RamaKrishna, Krishna, Chaitanya Deva, Shankara Charya, Jesus are devine beings no prarabda binds them, they are free souls take birth time to time to deliver the bounded souls, their actions beyond scriptures.

Sree Ramakrishna is Avatar. He told himself, Sree Rama and Sree Krishna are same. Many disciples are also fortunated to have darshan of Pravu on regular basis.

"जाकी रही भावना जैसी, प्रभु मुरत देखी तिन तैसी"

If you look at him as an ordinary siddha then it is prarabdha indeed. As his elder brother who had vaaksiddhi, cursed him for not letting him drink water during his illness (reminiscence of holy mother)

If you look at him as bhagwan. Then he is" patitapavan". He takes away the sin of devotees and make them dharmatma(Gita 9.31). Hence the sin manifests as illness in their own body. This is also true of many saints who are embodiments of bhagwan.

But finally if you look at him as an avatar. Then you also have to take his Leela. Nothing in his life is without any purpose. As he himself said to mahimacharan ( Sri Ramakrishna kathamrita akhanda page 895 Bengali). He mentions that this illness is to drive away the sakaam bhakta. Only the suddha bhakta will stay seeing the illness. As they are bound by love alone asking for nothing in return.

What Swamiji mentioning here is about deha prarabdha of Sri Ramkrishna. Not the Prarabdha karma which is born out of vasanas. Saints are also go thru Deha prarabdha after realisation. Ramana Maharishi also had cancer. You have to listen to the full vedio. So Swamiji did not say anything wrong about saintly people. Deha prarabdha will remain tlll body exists. But it is nothing to do with their God realisation. There is suffering but no sufferer inside to feel the suffering .
