So true!! When you're hobby becomes your job it changes the fun factor. I've noticed more negative comments recently as well, I think it just has to do with having more subscribers.

Your content is original one of the best on youtube man. You inspired me some time ago to start my channel and I know you've improved the lives of others through your videos. Whatever you decide to do in the future I wish you all the best, but I do hope you will continue making videos because I will keep watching!

I'm an Education graduate here in Philippines. First thing I thought upon reading the title was my way of motivating my students back in my practice teaching days. My students got fond of the treats I give every after activities to the point that they only participate for the treats. I became a slave of extrinsic motivation. Just sharing 😊 anyway, I just discovered your vids and I love it. Keep it up! You're helping a lot of people. ❤

Watching this video 10 months later, I discovered your channel last couple of months and it has been one of my favourites.

This shows how amazing you are doing. I am sure your grandchildren will see all these videos and be proud of you. Seriously you are creating a lot of values and whoever unsubscribed was not meant to be here in the first place.

I hope you read this.

I've enjoyed this channel for some time now, I think it's great what you're doing. Book summaries are great! Especially when the pace of the world seems to be getting faster every year, and sometimes people just don't make the time to sit down & read much. Unfortunate, but true. Keep up the great work, because we should never stop learning. Too many people stop learning after they get out of school, also many don't appreciate school when they're in it.

Hi Theodore!
This video was very helpful to me. Lately, I've been unmotivated to make videos too, so I sat down with a pen and journal and wrote out a ton of questions to help me rediscover my purpose for making videos. Its working, as Im slowly starting to feel less depressed about getting more active on YT again. This video helped me to realize that Im not alone in having my motivation (and even my focus and discipline) waiver.

Man, I have to thank you for ALL your videos, they have helped me improve my life. Every day I wake up, read books by Tony Robbins, Harv Eker or Brian Tracy and then I exercise, while exercising I watch/listen to videos on YouTube, your channel is definitely one of my favourite channels. I have forwarded many of your videos to my friends and family and I have also seen improvements in their lives. I orginally subscribed to your channel due to your analysis on how to deal with women, it surprised me in a very positive way when I got to videos about other fields of growth. You have encouraged me to work so I can do the same for many other people around me. I wish you the best.

Hard work pays off! Being intermittently discouraged is part of the process. Keep working and know that many people enjoy and are inspired by what you create!

AWESOME!!!! I loved the video because you have very creatively explained intrinsic motivation in almost every line only if we read between the lines. Thus ranging from how you began by saying you've lost motivation implies the extrinsic rewards like subscriptions and comments have declined your intrinsic motivation, then you being the old man as you have added an extrinsic reward of 20 $ yourself to this. The name practical Psychology makes so much sense since you practically made us realise the cocept of intrinsic motivation. Man you have nailed it.

I wouldn't watch all the book reviews to be honest. I prefer videos like this over book reviews. I think a lot of people come to YouTube for entertainment rather than education, and sometimes edutainment lacks the entertaining part, something I've struggled with a lot on my channel. I think most importantly you should make videos that you're REALLY passionate about, videos you want to have an impact on the world, and videos you intrinsically enjoy making. From my experience, those are the videos that usually come out the best. Test out a new style. Maybe try more vids like your running vid. Think about how much of an impact you can have on 1 million people -- one vid from you could literally change the world. Keep it up man, looking forward to more content from you in the future :)

I have been watching you videos for a long time and I have gained so much value from them, for that I thank you. As much as I apreciate what you do, if you don't like making videos anymore then I, as well as those who actually care about you and the content that you make will understand if you stop and try something new. Do what you like and what makes you happy. You've done more than enough, you don't owe anyone anything. Keep being great and good luck.

I had a feeling you were thinking this man. It all comes down to just expressing who you are and making content that you enjoy. Something many of us struggle with. Good to know I'm not the only one! :-)

Hey man, keep up the great work.
This story really hit home for me. The exact same thing happened to me with music. When I was a teenager I loved playing in bands, we would play anywhere we could, whenever we could, completely free of charge. We weren't interested in the money, we just loved playing and if there was an audience, well, super bonus! Then I moved to Australia and started playing in a covers band for money. I did this for around 4 yrs, and by the end of it, I had to quit, I lost all passion for it, I kind of hated it.
So thanks for making this video. Now I know why.

Practical Psychology, this is my first comment ever on your channel and I love your videos so much. You literally changed the main purpose of YouTube for me. From purely music videos website it became a place for finding clever and engaging content. Thank you.

I definitely will still be with this channel for the book reviews. That is actually great to add some difference in what you do. Infinitely thank you for all you do.

I saw one or two of your videos, were about social skills and things related to, but for those videos, I start to watch every single one of your videos since the first that you have in your playlist. Now I got to this and I am thrilled that I have 17 more and I will be up do day. Sorry for my English might not be the best. You are doing a great job, stop be worried about that the videos does not have psychology content, I believe you are worth to be watched, keep doing videos that you enjoy do. And for the question you asked. Yes I would watch every day a book review, for 30 days in a row or more. Keep up the good work !

Awesome video! You were the primary motivator for why I decided to start a channel of my own. I'm just getting started now, but I hope it becomes more like yours someday!

Also, do whatever you want. I've gotten so many "How to start a successful channel" videos, and they keep saying "You've gotta do what people want you to do, not what you want to do." Well, you're not going for the same thing as them. You do what you want to do, that's what made your earlier videos so great! Keep up the great work!
