Two-month-old Carter and Garrett Lopez, identical twins, came into the world in a hurry. They were born in December but weren't expected until March, making them micro preemies.

The babies were also born with a heart condition called PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus) involving an opening between blood vessels that normally closes on its own after birth but theirs did not.

Dr. Miga did a procedure called Abbott's Amplatzer Piccolo Occluder. It’s only been available to older children.
