One of the main objectives of the imminent G7 summit was to achieve an agreement among leaders on a loan of to Ukraine, FRANCE 24's Philip Turle said, reporting from Italy. The deal is expected to involve a $50 billion loan for Kyiv, secured against the future profits from interest on 300 billion euros ($325 billion) of Russian central bank assets frozen after the February 2022 invasion.

Imagine using a loan to finance someone's war. Country is being mortgaged in advance.

Very sad. First hundreds of billions wasted on losing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now hundreds of billions wasted on yet another losing war in Ukraine. All because the West told Zelenskyy to ignore the Minsk Accords and walk away from talks in Istanbul. Just think what could have been done with all those hundreds of billions if they would have been used to build a better world instead of destroying it.

It's not a loan. it's a charity. There's no way the poorest most corrupt country will be paying back😅😅😅
