How to Dominate Weeds in 2021 Using Q4 Herbicide | Bro, Do You Q?

How do you dominate the weeds in your lawn, instead of them dominating you? In this video I apply my favorite herbicide that I have used for 10-12 years on all the lawns that I have had over that time. This product has NEVER let me down!! I don't think there is anything more satisfying than finding a product that just does what it says it will. I'll have to keep Q4 in mind. I've been having pretty good luck with Bioadvance Crabgrass and lawn weed, but there are things it struggles with (looking at you, Virginia strawberries)

Nice video. I have lived on my rural acreage since 1978. I mow about 2 1/2 acres. Mostly Bermuda grass with some fescue. And all kind of weeds!
Lots of dandelion, clover, and a bunch of other stuff. It looks like I have an infestation of Bahiagrass as well! I am in northeast Oklahoma. So first of march I sprayed my whole 2 1/2 acres with the pre-emergent “Dimension”. Now I would like to cover the whole thing with a weed killer. I have daffodils around every tree and along the fences along with daylillies so I have to be careful. I have one of the 6 ft Danville Express roller applicators so I plan on using it without worrying about any overspray! I have been looking at this Q4+ herbicide and think it may very well get rid of most of my problem weeds. I have also seen people that really like “Drive XLR8 herbicide”. What are your recommendations? Thanks, Tom

Great Video, I put this out about a week ago and I have seen some weeds not too happy with me. However, there are still plenty that are not showing much damage. When do you feel its safe to spray again and this time (now that I know) I will water it like you said in your video. Thanks again for the video. It was very helpful. Now I know to put it out in the morning and then water it later.

did you mix all 15 oz in 4 gallons of water in your tank sprayer?

I tried this product for the first time it really didn’t kill the Nutsedge that well I sprayed at 3 ounces per gallon and even the crabgrass did not die and yes I used a surfactant I think it needs to be a little bit stronger maybe 3 1/2 ounces per gallon

Drift shouldn't be an issue for you seeing as you can hold the wand so much closer to the ground than most people. Just another advantage you have. 😁

I applied it to a lawn that was mainly weed infested with little to no grass. I did it in hopes that the weeds will die and I will be able to aerate the yard and over seed a healthy yard

Q4 is definetly a great herbicide! I use store bought (ortho, bio advanced and spectrazide) it has worked well for me so I will stick to that for now but if it fails then I'll try Q4

You said you go with 3 ounces per thousand that’s a 4 gallon backpack sprayer and he put 15 ounces and so there’s actually more than 3 ounces per thousand that’s roughly about 3 ounces per gallon so it’s a little bit on the strong side

What would your tips be on using a hose end sprayer for applying the Q4? I'm guessing that would mean a different ratio of water-to-product?

Also, is it fine to apply this product in late fall for bermuda grass?

Why spray the whole yard? Just spot spray trouble areas. Less stuff going into the soil and product will last 10x longer.
