In germany every village every city has voluntiers to join the fire brigade, Which means any time of the day they are ready to give proffesional help. If the call comes we run to go to the fire station any time of the day, no matter what

In Germany, it is a legal requirement that if a traffic jam occurs on the highway, an emergency lane must be created; there are precise regulations as to what the emergency lane must be. The rescue lane is for emergency vehicles, police, tow vehicles and recovery vehicles such as car cranes. // In cities and towns, the streets and intersections must be cleared when emergency vehicles or police drive with sirens and flashing lights, even if the traffic lights are red. But you can't just drive off, you have to always pay attention to the traffic so that no accidents happen.

The chief of the unit is sitting on the roof of the truck raising his stick to part the traffic. He is able to walk on water too. Its in the job description.

It is a voluntary fire brigade in Bavaria (so no automatically translated subtitles possible, because they speak Upper Bavarian) and in the first minutes you see firefighters arriving at the fire station, while the two in the truck check what is needed, ask the oncoming firefighters to fetch respiratory protective devices and debate if there is already a driver for the second truck available.
Other videos showing voluntary firefighters reacting to alarm:

Very interesting!! Many small towns here in the US have volunteer fire department. Very well trained, dedicated citizens who respond at a moments notice!

According to the German law (§ 11 (2) StVO – Road Traffic Regulation), an emergency corridor should be created when traffic stops, not only when rescue vehicles are already on the way to the victims.
To this end, vehicles on the left lane must turn as far as possible to the left and all others to the right, regardless of the number of lanes. It is also important not to stop in the emergency lane, which must be accessible to vehicles in the event of a breakdown or to the police.

There are two types of fire brigade in Germany. The "professional fire brigade", which is common from a certain town size (number of inhabitants) and in smaller towns the "volunteer fire brigade". This is usually found in every town (village) and sometimes even districts. These are firefighters who only do this in their free time and otherwise often work in the same town or a neighboring town. When they are alerted (which you can see in this clip), they usually drop everything and rush to their fire station and man the vehicles to drive to the scene. Usually on Saturdays, in their free time, they practice and keep their equipment in order. Corresponding laws support this and, if necessary, compensate for loss of earnings. Furthermore, in larger towns with professional fire departments, there are often also smaller fire stations with volunteer firefighters. In the event of major fires, ... the professional fire department may call in volunteer fire departments or, if the professional fire department is already on duty, these volunteer fire departments will take on further emergency operations.

In Germany, extreme care is taken to ensure that rescue workers (e.g. fire brigade) and police (my employer for 40 years in Berlin) are very well trained. The police training period, for example, is 2.5 - 3 years, not just a few weeks like in the USA. In the professional fire brigade and the volunteer fire brigade (that is,
who extinguished the burning car) you are in good hands. They are experienced, very motivated and trained people.
In my opinion, the USA is taking the completely wrong path.

In Germany there are professional firefighters and in smaller towns there are "voluntary" firefighters.

It's law in Germany to create a "Rettungsgasse" (emergency way) in case of traffic jam:
On the far left lane you have to go to the left.
All the other lanes have to go to the right.

I've seen different reactions to this video but I never realized a fact until now: Can we talk about all those cars at 3:32 leaving the autobahn on an illegal exit? I mean, I don't see any police that told them to drive off the autobahn there...

The Building of a "Rettungsgasse" ("Exit-Way"):
The first cars in the near of an accident see it. They start to drive to the left or the right to PARK there.
The following cars see that and join in - except they are idiots!
And there are A LOT!!!

the is a law in traffic, if you drive slow on the highway you and everone else has do make a past way for fireenginges ambulances and polise, so we make a row in the left, read it in german law

As others have already explained, the formation of this "emergency lane" is a legal requirement in the case of traffic jams on the Autobahn,
Unfortunately, it doesn't always work as perfectly as in this video. We also have our share of stupid or confused people, who just don't know how to act corectly... or the selfish people who don't care, or even think to use this nice free lane in a traffic jam for themselves.

But most people do know, understand it and follow these rules. It makes all of us safer.
What makes it really amazing for us, is how other "civilized" nations are amazed at such a simple concept.

I imagine the length of the fire hose has its limits, when confronted with very tall buildings. Those hoses are heavy (especially when filled with water). You can‘t just make them infinitely long.

Does anyone know how to fight fires in tall buildings? Are sprinklers the only way? 🤔
