Tia, if you want your potatoes to cook more evenly and thoroughly, just put a lid on the skillet. Also, some drop-down legs (adjustable, for uneven terrain) on your "kitchen" would make it more stable, and rather than a lid that opens, drawers that pull out.

❤ Tia if you cover the potatoes they cook much faster. It all looked GREAT. 😋

3:56 Awesome Tia. Was watching this video today and thought I would just throw a suggestion at you if you add one hinge on your slide table and cut the top of it in half after you get your stove out you could still access the stuff in there without disturbing the stove while in use. Just a thought.. ❤

Tia I recently found your YouTube channel. I watched all your $1 house videos and then went back to first videos. You remind me of our youngest and middle daughters ages 35 &37. I really enjoy watching all the DIY remodeling and conversion videos. I know it’s been 7 months since this video, but I thought I would give you a tip for camp potatoes. I use Corel Ware plates (no disposable to add to the land fill). So when cooking camp potatoes, I place a Corel plate over my skillet to stem the potatoes as they are frying. I use a low to low -medium flame, cover and leave for 5 to 7 minutes, then flip the potatoes, cover and steam another 5-7 minutes. Then if they need to brown up, I just turn up the flame to brown them. At home I have lids for my skillets, but not for my modern camp skillets. We also participate in Mountain Man Rendezvous- pre-1840’s camps…live in white canvas tents, cook in cast iron over open flames and bake in Dutch ovens. Maybe you can try a Rendezvous in one of your next adventures! Thank you for sharing.

Almost 20k subscribers. Good job. That pullout is stutdy. I’ve never seen one that sturdy before.

You guys built an awesome storage slide! That breakfast looked amazing! Love the way you followed Snoop on the bacon 👍 I typically would cook my potatoes and onions and stuff in the bacon grease after I do the bacon first followed up by eggs in that grease too, it gives an amazing flavor profile versus regular vegetable oil... I learned that from my mama as a kid 😋 I don't always comment but I really enjoy your videos when I have an opportunity to get online!

It is a nice set up for sure. I think, I'd put a coat of poly on the box, exterior and interior to waterproof it, easy to clean and won't stain.

looks so good!!!🥔🥓🥚🧈🫐🥞☕😋. if you cut the potato into smaller cubes put a little water and cover with a lid for a while before crisping it helps. i love watching your videos!

Add a little water to the potatoes and butter and let them steam cook

Looked amazing if you can boil your potatoes first in hot water that will soften the inside however I know this can be hard when camping but it will eliminate hardness on the inside.

I like to get these dinner sausages and cut them into slices about a quarter in thick then fry. They get crispy edges and are delicious

I’m late to the party so you may be sorted by now, but generally, the first pancake is always a bit of a dud. Still edible but usually misshapened and or overcooked or undercooked or too greasy or too sticky… it’s your test pancake so you know what to adjust for the rest of your pancakes.
P.s. parboiling your potatoes first helps with even frying but dry them really good before putting them in hot oil. Or chop them much smaller if you don’t want to do that extra step.

That looks quite tasty, and your kitchen setup looks like its going to give you stress free cooking from now on, here in England we have a breakfast that we call a Full English which is comprised of Bacon, Eggs, Sausage, Black pudding {which I suggest you google if your wondering what Black pudding Is} Mushrooms, Baked beans, Hash browns, Tomatoes, fried bread and toast. keep up the videos with all the wonderful work you are doing in your new home, I'm sure you are inspiring people with your positive and creative passion.

Try putting a led on your potatoes it will steam them while frying and they won't be hard and still brown
