So officers in SC make the determination to arrest you for DUI based entirely on a road side test or their interactions with you, THEN breathalyze you? Makes no sense, why not just breathalyze first and then make a decision based on those numbers? Sort of hard decision to make as the motorist, if you are sober but don't want to do the song and dance of the roadside test you risk being arrested even if you then go on to blow zeros. Backward way to do it in my book. Wonder if they arrest everyone who refuses to do a roadside test, which they might ask you to do if you invoke the 5th to the "have you had anything to drink tonight question.". Makes you look (to them) like you are trying to hide things when really you just want to be left alone and don't want to speak to the police.
