I did a field sobriety test perfect. The cop and said I was off balance almost falling. I’ll never take one again

I got pulled over (quite) a few years back, cop thought I was drunk, gave me this line, I fell for it. I did the tests, and passed, he let me drive on. I WAS JAMMED OUTTA MY HEAD ON HEROIN. They really are subjective.

Edit: clean now since 2012, but just sayin. I don’t condone this behavior, someone could’ve died/gotten hurt.

Subjective or not, refusing a field sobriety test will always result in being detained until a bodily fluid test is conducted.

So, sure. You can refuse any LEO legal order while briefly detained. Just expect that briefly to turn into extended.

If I am innocent clean and sober they can do any field sobriety tests on me and I would volunteer to give a breath and blood test. If you have been drinking that is another story. They can’t falsify a breath or blood test.

I’ll blow or you can draw blood but I’m not taking a test that is relative to how you (the cop) “feels” I performed as opposed to a breathalyzer that is a machine and will tell you yes or no, period.

I am 80 years old. I am still a good driver and have never had any tickets, except when I was 18.

It is probably impossible for me to pass any of the field sobriety tests, even though I am always stone sober and never drink and drive.

I will blow ZERO and still fail.
