The repair option in settings did the trick.
I've been trying to sort out Edge for days, but nothing fixed it.
I figured there had to be a way to repair Edge but had no idea how or where to do it.
This cut my CPU use down 40%

My reason it was because i had a extension that do it 100% cpu

Then when Microsoft and/or Edge and/or Office updates, all settings get reset and turned back on so now ya have to do it all over again as well as FOX everything they JUST RIDICULOUS!!!! I'M SO SICK OF THIS BULLSHT
