Today I'm going to you you all how to fix a common problem in arduino where when you try to upload a sketch you get an error that reads "com#:Access is denied". To fix this we change the com port the arduino was on to an open one. another if you don't like that you could always close the application the that is using the com port but that's not always a reasonable solution.

Sorry about my audio I thought i was recording of my usb mic but accidently set the recording program to record of my computer mic.

I tried this but it didn't work. Now it tells me it can't find the file even when i switch it to the original port

Didn't work... Changed USB Cable, everything I could find... It worked fine with the Arduino mega clone but not with the Nano clone now... I feel like the board is somehow damaged...

Yeah, it works...HOWEVER, the Port that gave you the original error is unusable as it's "stuck" on busy. If you try to open it using PuTTY it will continue to "deny access". I have yet to figure out how to resolve this issue.

I tried to do this white a part was being 3d printed and didn't work.
I'm wondering now if my printer is stopping communication as it has the same driver. Almost all my Chinese electronics do infact.

question: do i need an arduino device to "upload" the IDE file to the selected com port? i dont have any arduinos yet, but i am practicing coding. Do i need to get an arduino first?
your solution fixed the "access denied" problem, but now i am getting other errors such as "port not found."

No go. Man I hate Windows some times. Might be because I "updated" to 21H2 (Win 10). Now I have to roll back, if that works at all, and then redo all my already redone tweaks. Bleurgh.
I also don't like that Arduino mashed together "Upload" with "Compile" first, making manual reset timing difficult (which I guess sometimes work? Idk any longer).
Still, good trick to have in the bag. Thanks.
