Neil Gaiman and Nnedi Okorafor are always a good idea. Ari & Dante, Men Explain Things To Me, and On The Edge of Gone are on my shelf of favorite books.

Wow same. I'm no longer checking the Amazon deals. I have 300 kindle books unread.

Be Frank with Me is such a nice, quirky book, I really liked it. Hannah Rotchild's The Improbability of Love is a fun, easy read, with quite some insight into the art trade world. I liked it. Finally, I recently read Veronica Henry's How to find love in a bookshop, which is a light read, a well-written romance for those moments when you are not motivated to read anything heavy or complicated.

I really love the Cinder books! Definitely read those!

Next week (at the time of typing), the first episode of the BBC's adaptation of David Nicholls's 'Us' will be on TV. Nicholls is one of my favourites so I'm looking forward to it.

The Natural History of Dragons is good! It doesn't really read like a typical fantasy - it reads more like a Jane Austen novel with a few dragons thrown in the background - so I wouldn't let the fantasy aspect deter you.

The Improbability of Love was really good, and I'm not that into art either. Worth a read 🙂

I remember reading Soulmates a while back and LOVED it.
Divergent I would class more as dystopian than fantasy?
And The Mermaid & Mrs Hancock I’ve heard is raunchy. I started it but found the writing style a bit heavy personally so didn’t get round to finishing it.

I would maybe consider the paper menagerie more speculative sci Fi? (Is that a thing? Lol) regardless from what I can remember it's not very science heavy. I think I remember you mentioning love+sex robots or something in a previous video (?) And I instantly thought of one of the stories in the paper menagerie, so you may enjoy it too. It was one of my favourite books of the year when I read it

Be prepared for your dreams to be shattered if you read Mad About The Boy. I still recommend it if you love Bridget Jones but I would say get Bridget Jones’ Baby which is a book made up of serialised articles for a better ending. Of the list I say read We Have Always Lived In The Castle and Us, David Nicholls

I had fun with the paper magician series (I read two of them) because they were quick and easy. But I woulnd't recommend it to you. Ari and Dante is worth your time! It's quiet and gentle story. ACOTAR is not worth your time! I have on beauty and should get to that myself :3 I need to try something by Juno Dawson. I have solitaire and need to read. I loved cinder and have to admit I loved the lunar chronicles as well. Patrick Ness is fantastic! I haven't read more than this though. When dimple met rishi is fun. Benjamin Zephaniah is fantastic!

100% recommend What’s A Girl Gotta Do? There is also a novella that comes after it, which I also loved! This Is Where It Ends was not good, so I’d trash that one! He Said/She Said was okay 🤷🏻‍♀️ DON’T read Soulmates by Holly Bourne, it’s really bad and if it had been the first book of hers I’d picked up, I wouldn’t have read any others 😂

I love Parks and Rec but I found Yes, Please quite disappointing. Just didn’t hang together well as a book. To my understanding, The Actor’s Life is basically a how-to for people interested in tv and film acting. I’ve read a few chapters and while there are some funny personal stories, it’s mostly telling you how to go after and get acting jobs. Not sure if that’ll be of much interest to you.

Not trashing this but recommending You by Caroline Kepnes even though you have seen the show.

I don't consider my kindle books to be on TBR. I just leave it alone until I'll feel like I've made progress with my physical books.

I found Thinking About It etc by David Mitchell to be a bit weaker than his other books. One I'd probably swerve. Back Story is much better imo.
Mad about the Boy was crap. Ruined for me within the first 10 pages.
Us bored me to tears and I DNF'd it about 70 pages in – he just kept WHINING.
Genuine Fraud is really confusing to read because it's written reverse chronologically
