Google Pixel 2 Review: Why You Can't Buy a Better Android Phone | WIRED

In almost every way, the Pixel 2 is the iPhone of Android phones, says WIRED's David Pierce. And that's a compliment.

Google's back with Pixel. Actually two: the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL. The Pixel 2 has a 5-inch screen, the XL is an inch larger. Otherwise, the two models match in virtually every way. They're refined, improved versions of last year's models, adding a few features and removing a few as well. (Bye bye, headphone jack.) The selling points remain the same, though: Google's betting that the latest and greatest in Android, an even better Assistant, and the best phone camera Mountain View can muster are enough to take on the best of 2017's smartphone bunch.

He's trying his best and doing a better job at it than you are. Keep that in mind. His review is not the most flashy or refined, BUT it's also not the same old, same old. He puts a little more personality into it. Please show some human decency and a little more respect.

Some of your facts are off and for a tech reviewer that's pretty bad...The phone (and no other phone) is waterproof, it is water resistant. The free full-resolution photo storage is only for 3 years and the screen technologies between the two models are different.

Dear Wired, what is this? A paid phoney gimmick to hype Pixel 2? This doesn't even count as a review. No mentioning of the cons, the price against value, no comparison of features with phones at the same price range, this looks more like an advertisement than anything.

Here's my biggest question/concern....can you take a photo with the volume rocker and not get a blurry mess? That's the problem with the original Pixel. I HAVE to use the soft button or I will always get a blurry picture.

I don't get the lamentation for wireless charging. Fast charging is much more important as well as NFC which also requires phone back area. How hard is it to plug a single USB-C wire to the phone which you can plug either way as well?
