Is morality objective? How can we learn about morality? What is "good"? If moral standards exist, are they universal?

Thank you so much!!! I like your brevity and the way you put the main concepts in your framework. :)

I don’t understand how a theory that there’s no such thing as morality (error theory) could be a subset of a theory that moral propositions are true or false (cognitivism).

This was very well done, a great introduction to a layman like me. Thank you. I realize from watching that I am inclined to the non-naturalist meta-ethical view point. I do not think the is-ought problem applies in a scenario where: we would know for sure that an objectively optimal paradise would instantly come into existence, if we were to push a button. I'm inclined to think it would be morally objective to push it. Can you tell me where I may be making a logical mistake? Incidentally, to know it was an ideal paradise, we might need to rely on an ideal observer. I thought that was an interesting connection. Have others made such a connection?

I love this map, very helpful. Where does the position that "morality comes from God's nature, not commands" fit in here? This is a position that's meant to work around the Euthryphro Dilemma, which I don't think it really does (you can just ask "is it something subjectively moral based on God's nature, or independently moral and God's nature is consistent with it"), where would it fit in here?

Why isn't error theory non cognitivist?

There is a mistake in the video: in the context of Moral Realism, "Naturalism" would normally refer to the view that moral facts can be found using empirical methods, NOT the view that "what is natural, is good" (although the latter is also referred to as "naturalism" - but as I said, not in this context). See also the Stanford Encyclopedia article on "Moral Naturalism"

Few contradictions here and there but a great video overall. Like.
