I’m Mexican, and a huge negative I have of my own people is this:
We praise and glorify our indigenous ancestry, but oppress and discriminate our current indigenous population .

Teotihuacan is another city you confused it with tenochtitlan

Hey, there is a huge flaw on this video, they seem to confuse the great classical city of Teotihuacan with the Aztec capital Tenochtitlan. By the time of Moctezuma the second (1519) Teotihuacan had been an abandonded ruin for 700 years! It had been destroyed in the VIII century. Also, the Toltecs can not have built Teotihuacan because it preceded them in time. Actually, the Teotihuacans were a huge influence for the Toltecs. (All of this happened before the Mexica-Aztecs even arrived in the valley of Anahuac. Also, every piece of solid evidence point to the Olmecs as proto mayans. The theory of them coming from subsaharan Africa is only based on the assumption of an american archeologist that thought he saw "african features in the colossal heads" (actually he used the word "negroid"). But extraordinary assumptions call for extraordinary evidence, which do not exist. There are also thousands of figurines made by the olmecs that don't have any of those features. You have to check your facts. I reccomend reading the General History of Mexico, published by the Colegio de México for an academic source. Also you failed to state that most mexicans are the mix from native americans, africans and europeans.
And what happened with the American invasion that took at gun point the states of California and modern Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and nevada? that, the worst scar in our history was not even mentioned! Jesus Christ! This is a very misleading video.
Thank you.

You're mixing up Teotihuacán and Tenochtitlán, two different cities.

I love that the Mexicans didn't want to let Austin bring slavery to their doorstep. I didn't know about that! I got your back too, Mexico ✊🏿

It pained me every time he mispronounced Teotihuacan. Nicely done summary though

Pretty good. I like how they portray the zapatistas, who represent the seeds of a significant political and ideological shift in Mexico, and dare I say, the world.

I was born in Mexico and raised in the United States. I know a lot of the history of Mexico. Tenochtitlán was the name of Mexico City.

This video confuses cities and people. They confuse Moctezuma with Cuauhtemoc. The population did not fall to 6 million, but to 2.5 million. It only recover to 6 million in the 19th century.

If you don't know the difference between Teotihuacán and tenochtitlan, you should not be making a history of Mexico

The narrator more than once says Teotihuacan instead Tenochtitlan. Terrible mistake.
