Much of Filipino culture traces back to Mexico.
In colonial times, the Philippines and Mexico had a tight connection through the Manila Galleons that provided immense cultural exchange.
Much love to our Mexican brothers and sisters 🇲🇽🇵🇭

Keep making these summary videos. Please. You put so much into such a conveniently small amount of time. You are far better than a lot of history uploaders on YouTube.

+1 for mentioning the often-overlooked Toltec civilization, arguably more important than the Aztecs.

Great video, as a Mexican I was so excited when I got this notification, the history is presented well and the pronunciations were great, just note Oaxaca is (wa-hac-a), but excellent history, you are seriously underrated and I hope your channel succeeds, saludos. Also I’m related to Álvaro Obregón. 🇲🇽

Tacos, tequilas, sombreros, mariachi music and a bumpy ride to becoming what it is today… Mexico has it all.

Next is the island country consisting of Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei and Kosrae; The Federated States of Micronesia! 🇫🇲

Thanks Mr. History for this overview of Mexico and starting the video with the country's biodiversity.

A reminder how central Mexico is the home to the monarch butterfly. It's in February when the monarchs begin their migration north.

Enjoy this travel vlog from the Butterfly Reserve.

Fantastic video! Here are a couple more of very interesting facts about Mexico if ya'll may find it interesting :)

After the war of independence ended in 1821 no republic was installed on the land, Mexico was born an EMPIRE stretching all the way from the modern border between Panama and Costa Rica all the way to the modern borders between California and Oregon including Texas and even a fraction of modern day Wyoming, basically the entirety of the U.S. southwest.
This was an extremely ephemeral empire tho, since this state effectively lasted for less than a year...
Those northern territories where taken by the U.S. military in 1846.

There was a SECOND Mexican empire during the 1860's and was lead by an Austrian emperor from the Habsburg family, that empire lasted for about 3 years.

In WW2 there was a special detachment of the Mexican airforce that fought over the Phillipines in 1945 directly helping U.S. and Filipino ground troops against the military of the Empire of Japan and went even further by bombing naval objectives over the then Japanese ocuppied Taiwan.
The unit was known as the "Aztec Eagles"

Just to clarify, because due to the videos oversimplification, some things weren't fully explained; both Porfirio Diaz and Santa Anna were members of the liberal party.
