I recently came to terms with the fact that I am bi. Crazy thing is I cried when I first started thinking I was bi, because I wished I was just a lesbian lol. Can’t help that I’m attracted to more than one gender… and now I’m finally just starting to accept it and seeing it as a good thing

I wanted to join an LGBTQ club in university as a bisexual and I only lasted a day in that club because one of the people there told me that Bisexuals don’t count for LGBTQ. Upon asking what they thought the B stood for in LGBTQ, they dead ass said “LGBT stands for Lesbians, Gays, Bottoms and Tops.”

I still to this day cannot tell if they were joking or not. Also people telling me bisexual women aren’t real because women go through bi phases. Like damn when’s my phase gonna end?

bit off topic but the A in LGBTQIA is for asexual not ally.
1. asexuals/aromantics etc are LGBT 

2. allies aren't LGBT (unless they are like allies to different bits of it, like a cis lesbian who supports trans rights etc) what the word 'ally' _means_ as an example in ww2 american soldiers and british soldiers were allies because they were on the same side but they aren't the same country, whereas indian soldiers weren't british allies because they were fighting for the british army. (ok, empires in general suck but that's not the point)

by LGBT here i mean would distinguish between the 'set' of LGBT people like the 'set of all prime numbers' or the set of 'all green things', and the community. like being anti-racist isn't the same as being black, but yeah people should help people who are on their side, that's being a decent human being/community of decent people.

allies aren't in the set of LGBT people, like how there was a dickhead on i think a Jubilee video who said he's gay but he's not LGBT because he's "normal" like he's being a dickhead and there's like internalised homophobia or something, but apart from that he doesn't get to be Not LGBT and G at the same time in logical terms. 

As a community we should obviously help/accept allies

(like i've got a cis straight friend who lost (facebook) 'friends' because she said there's more than two genders. like that's a lame example but people do face discrimination for being allies and that sucks.
