What are you doing with the remainders is ny only question. Im working on a problem right now and im stuck because i dont see what to do for the remainder. Do I simply just move it over pluck in a zero for the place holder etc?

If you don't want to go onto another Youtube video to convert from any positive base (≥ 2) to Base 10, here's how:

Say we have the number 524 in base six. To convert to base ten, there's an easier and faster way.

We write the number, then multiply by base then count from the right and from zero, and add that as a power onto the base (look below)

(5 • 6 ^ 2) + (2 • 6 ^ 1) + (4 • 6^0)

Simplify (calculate). Remember to use BEDMAS or PEMDAS.

180 + 12 + 4 = 196

And there you have it — 524 in base six is 196 in base ten.
