Sanctification: After coming to the knowledge and realization of who we really are in Christ and all of the spiritual blessings that God has bestowed upon us already. As we are spiritually safe and cozy in Christ as he sits at the right hand side of the father in heaven, we can then begin to manifest these spiritual blessings (already obtained) which we have in heaven, into our lives here and now. Thus walking in the spirit! We come to this knowledge first by hearing the word, then having faith that the word is truth and then we can ask Christ to manifest those blessings we already have in our spirits into our life here on earth. Thus we are even brighter lights shining in the darkness, faith increases for us and also those we come in contact with. What a beautiful plan! Glory be to God. Amen

Sanctification is receiving the Holy Spirit after justification by God, followed by obedience to Jesus Christ, then justification by Christ and his grace for eternal salvation. Sanctification is taking God to heart, before the regeneration and renewal.

For those below, the first two to post, mostly the response, and all who read - those are not at odds! That is what us Puritans believe, and have always believed that. That would include Brother Washer, who fellowships at my MASTER YESHUA'S Fellowship here with us sometimes. All of us would tell you to lean on the Holy Scriptures, prayerfully! It is only by The SPIRIT of Truth that we comprehend n cling to The WORD. We understand standing on the shoulders of 'giants', but only as supplemental to our own personal study; remember the Berien's and to Study to show yourself approved. Sanctification only happens by Grace, through Faith, in CHRIST - Fruit of The SPIRIT, Magnifying The Magnificent YESHUA (one of the ways of which is Sanctification) to the Glory of The TRIUNE HOLY ~YHWH. This is not true, This is not scripture! Read your Bible! The Holy Spirit sanctifies. We can’t not sanctify ourselves... that thinking makes God not sovereign and He is sovereign over all!

Philosophical postulations! Has the church fallen so far away from Christ that this is what passes as biblical teachings? Theological theory? you do not sound like someone who has actually experienced the mechanics of sanctification. Being united with Christ means having the mind of Christ. It means seeing things new, reacting and responding to things in a new way. When Jesus sits in you he sees your sin the right way. Because he is in you, you share his mind on the matter and you feel the same way about the love of the world in your heart as if you were Christ Himself. Yo do not experience this? Then what on earth are you growing up into. A great mind is never going to be suited to receiving what Christ has to offer. It was never meant to be worked out, but received. Once received is when we work it out. If you keep battling the same sin then how on earth are you going to grow into new things? The old man is put off, the new man is put on. Satan could tempt this man all he likes, he will fail. This new man is Christ Himself. Keeping in step with the Spirit is following preordained path of sanctification. If you keep doing the Oki Koki (foot going forward and backwards) over one particular sin you are never going to end up take the many steps in life the Spirit needs to lead you. Union with Christ is a real thing, you should be very conscious of His abiding nature in your life. If you are really new in how you see things then you already know this person who sups with you. Remember though, it cannot come without the repentance of our wretchedness, pitifulness, blindness, nakedness and poverty. There should be a very real conviction, witness in your hear regarding this. If that is not there then there is not supping and no knowing.

Are people baptized in the name of Jesus ? Did they really die in water and rise with Christ? I wonder how people start their new Christian life. Because if you force yourself to be convinced of being in Christ, if you spend your time fighting against yourself to be a good christian, it is not reality, it is self persuasion. I am afraid I am in that case.

You know write a book on holiness and then vomit crap all over Lady Gaga, if holiness is being Christlike, then Christ would NEVER ... do that! There's a difference between being a Christian that is not perfect and one who sets himself up as a teacher. Why did you even do that?!
