Hi Liz. Thank you for promoting Vietnamese coffee. I wanna suggest a tip for a deeper flavor: you put the lid under the phin, pour some hot water in it, and pour some into the phin (just 10 or 20ml is okay). Let it rest for some minutes, then continue the process like you did the video

Tried all sorts but you can’t beat a simple french press with some good quality ground coffe!! Simple.

I’m so glad you made this because your filter had the same top as mine where it screws in and I hadn’t seen anyone with one! Thank you for showing how to use!!! I’m totally making some today now

Hi! Just bought a phin filter and it’s the first time I’ve ever used anything that isn’t a moka pot. Question: how do you ensure the coffee remains hot as it’s steeping 😢

I just got one of these for when I want a stronger tasting coffee. I like the fact it's fully stainless steel too. Thanks!

P.S I love Vietnamese food, drink and culture. I hope I can visit there one day :)

What are you using as the very bottom "cup" to catch the coffee in? Looks like a regular glass so I need to be clear Thx!

but Always pre-heat your filter using boiling water. This is common knowledge.

Ooh, like a cross between a v60 and an aeropress. Is that how it tastes?
