I love that lead guitar part. Really dramatic.

I've been using an Eden WTDI pre-amp for quite a while.
It's bloody brilliant. One stop shopping in a little (cheap as chips) box.

Warren, great video as always. I have a tip for you that you might like. When recording, I use a Razer Orbweaver gamepad for my left hand. I never have to lift my hand when editing for any Daw because the keys are user assignable, and change key binds when you switch programs (daws) to whatever you are using at the time. The nice thing about this when using multiple daws is that you can set key binds for each daw on the same keys that you use for your main daw (Pro Tools). I have the thumb direction pad set to zoom. It's worth it for that alone. I could tell you how I set my key binds, but you are smart enough to figure out how you would like them best. It's also cheap when compared to other 'name brand' hardware controllers, at like $100 or so. Once you get used to it, you won't need to take your eyes off the screen, unless you are typing a name. Hope that helps. Thanks.

Awesome.  I was wondering if you would be reparing the DC Offset on the DI.  Some folks care, some don't.

Very surprised to see the 1073 DMP in the background there but not being used as a bass DI. Any thoughts on that? Thanks for the video!

Incredibly informative. I love the little tips you provide for getting around quickly in Pro Tools. Any chance we might see you elaborate on the features in Beat Detective and Elastic Audio at some point?  Thanks for putting your amazing knowledge out there.

Hi Warren, quick question, " Can I use the ( XLR ) direct out from my bass amp the same as an external DI box such as the Radial type? Straight into the audio interface? Also is recording the amp with a mic on a separate channel ok? THANKS!

It was interesting to hear how those two different takes can work together and not fight against each other, especially in the low frequency spectrum.
I think it has to do something with the fact that the player (and the way he plays) was the same both times.

Hey, Warren. Love the videos. Never stop. I’m a student at LARS and you’re practically another one of my professors! I have a Clarett Octopre, and for some reason, whenever I try to record bass, it sounds incredibly muffled boomy. Using a Rickenbacker 4003, I then added the Radial to see if it helped and it did but still no clarity coming through. I then bought a Warm Audio WA412 and that cleaned it up a bit, but it’s still not as warm and balanced as I expect it to be. The WA412 made it a lot cleaner and brighter, but kinda kinda loses the balls of the bass. I just recently started running the Radial into the WA412 then to the Octopre. Better, but still not as good as this video’s tone. Micing an amp also never works out. Do you think this has to do with the quality of the Octopre or Radial, perhaps do I need a better dedicated bass pre, or is it worth investing in a bass stompbox? I don’t see you having one of those and yours sounds tremendous. What interface was used for this? I really appreciate it.

Great video, Warren. I have a question. I'm using an old MBox2 interface, which is 32 bit, though my DAW (Reaper) and my computer (Windows 7) are 64 bit. Is this an issue as far as the interface 'seeing' all the RAM (6 GB for now, though I'm planning on expanding to 12)? I seem to have quite a few latency issues (right now it's down to about 8ms, which is not bad for some things, but when you have to do a fast guitar lick, it can get tricky). Thanks in advance for your reply. Cheers.
