Don’t be surprised about Glenn’s guitar skills. He was a member of “The Wrecking Crew”. He was highly regarded as a session musician

A lot of people don’t realise glen was a guitarist long before his singing career, he was so gifted he ended up one of the top guitar players in the wrecking crew, and played hundreds of sessions from the beach boys to frank sinatra, irreplaceable we all miss him

Willie, Waylon, Roy Clark, I think Chet Atkins, and tons of others in that crowd. Legendary on an epic scale!!

These are called "Homecoming" or "Family Reunion" shows where a bunch of older artists would get together to sing each other's hit songs. There is also a lot of joking around or telling stories. They were really popular in the country and gospel genres back in the '90s and early 2000s.

I saw how your eyes lit up when he picked the solo. He was considered by many to be one of the best guitarists around.

Glenn was a giant talent. We will never see his equal again.
Alzheimer's gradually took his abilities and mind....RIP

Glen was once part of "The Wrecking Crew", a group of legendary studio musicians who played on everything back in the 60s. He went solo and had a hall of Fame career. He's considered by some to be one of the best flat top guitarists of all time.
As always, brother, I hope you and yours are doing fine.

Please react to these Glen Campbell songs: Witchita Lineman, Galveston, Rhinestone Cowboy, By The Time I Get To Phoenix, Southern Nights, Try A Little Kindness, and I'm Not Gonna Miss You.

Yes Jamel, that was indeed a room full of country legends. The ones I recognize just off hand are: Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings (In the light blue shirt and black hat at the beginning), Guitar legend, Chet Atkins (He's the one talking at the very beginning), Roy Clark (Next to Chet), Janie Fricke (sitting between Roy and Willie), Gene Watson (sitting behind Glen in the purple shirt), Crystal Gayle (she's the beautiful dark haired woman sitting next to Glen), and B.J. Thomas (who I commented in your previous video had just passed away last month) sitting on the other side of Chet near Crystal. And the man hosting the show is Ralph Emery. (He was a popular Nashville country music host for many years). He's the one that said, "That's feels good" at the end.
There's another of these videos from the same show, where Glen sings the Roy Orbison classic, "Crying" In fact, he sings it immediately after this one you just heard.. Now THAT'S one you really need to react to!!!

It was a legends reunion. Yes, that was Willie Nelson. Glen was one of the best guitar players ever. You gotta see his slower version of "Galveston" with Jimmy Webb.
