Its crazy how helpful indicator lights are when you know what they mean. In my line of work some of the newer technology has indicator lights. 90% of our customers dont know what they mean. A lot of the older guys i work with dont know what they mean and dont know how to figure it out. A quick google search tells me what the problem is and how to fix it and makes me look like a genius.

As my journeyman taught me, its not about memorizing everything, but knowing how to obtain the information to get the job done.

I remember getting the Ps3, and it would get so hot playing oblivion that I would put an ice pack on a towel on top of the system to help it cool down, otherwise you couldn't play over an hour. It's amazing that it's been nearly 15 years, and the new systems still have an overheating issue.

Blinking white also means preparing to enter rest mode, but then it will transition to pulsing orange, then solid orange.
Also, controllers that are plugged into the console will display orange lights just like the console.
