Thanks! Just upgraded to a S21 Ultra and transferred all my data from my old Samsung device. I did it wirelessly however. Remember that it takes a while for the data to copy. When you ended the video it was still transferring.

My wife has a note 9 that I back up to my PC. We just bought S21 Ultra.
Her phone has a lot of junks, I am sure.
What you show here, you have already set up your s21 first... ? finger print....etc.
then come to transfer contacts?... and follow these steps.

OR a brand new phone from the box and
do these steps. Would these also tran
sfer all the important icon/ softwares that are on Home Screen as well?

I just like to clean some junks out.
What is the best way. I know that if I plug
the s21 into my pc it will bring everything to the new s21.

One question you didn't answer. Do you move your SIM card and micro-SD card from your old phone to your new S21 Ultra *before* or *after* the transfer? Thanks.

Ok, I'm not sure if you've covered this, at all, but I cannot access my old device due to damage to the screen. It's the whole reason I was forced to upgrade. I mean, I'm happy I gotta new phone but I'm still getting messages and phone calls on the old one. I can still hear it's notifications and see a sliver of the top of the screen but cannot enter the password to even unlock it. I tried transferring, the way you did here, but because I can't unlock it (when it first broke, I restarted it. But due to the screen damage, I can't enter my password.) it won't complete the transfer. Wireless, or otherwise. I'm assuming I'll just have to take them both in, and have a technician handle it. Just thought I could find some help, online. Any advice would be helpful, thank you.

If you choose to set it up as a new device, don't worry you can still copy your data to your new galaxy device without having to factory reset your new galaxy device, on the both devices install smart switch, on the omd device choose send option, on the new galaxy device choose receive option.
