Really good video man. Thanks for putting all of the job titles and realistic salary info together. Having been in various IT jobs for almost 20 years, I feel like the key is *ambition* and a desire to improve and grow. In support jobs, I've seen a lot of people who never left Desktop Support or Help Desk because they got to that $60k range and just kinda gave up. The road to 6-figures requires you to pick an Engineer, Admin, or Analyst path (Network, System, Security, Database, etc) and really commit. Sometimes it happens at one company, but sometimes you also have to just do your 2 years some place and then move on to bigger, better things at another company where you can grow. So keep pushing guys!

I currently work a contracted Functional Help Desk position (System Support Analyst II)... As a FHD, we are responsible for a wide array of IT tasks on one particular system used by the military. One of the perks of this position is the company will reimburse us for getting A+ certified. I'll be here for 3-4 years (husband is military) so I'm hoping that being here for 3-4 years and getting certified while being here will get me ahead for when we move in the future. Thanks for this video!

When I got out of school in 2014 with my A+ I struggled to find work because I got chased off by those "X+ years of experience required jobs" and I found it really discouraging. Lately I've been thinking about dusting off my certs and trying again. The great algorithm, may it reign eternal, sent me this video after I looked up some A+ study material and I'm so glad it did. This is the motivation and encouragement I needed to find a path out of my current dead end job. I know I'm a year late, but thanks so much for making this.

I had a 24/7 helpdesk position, but i didnt gain alot of experience other than Monitoring SEIM, Triaging and Creating tickets, installing patches and updating office PC's for clients. And they laid me off last December, but thats really the only experience that i have aside from working on the google cybersecurity certificate and completing job simulation learning Modules along with my customer svc experience, can i still leverage this experience for another position or do i need more experience?

I have business associates degree. I'm looking at the A+ certification to start with. Do you think that's a good place to start and then get more training while working in a job with my A+ certification. With that being said what is the next training you'd recommend getting? Thank you so much
