BlackTree TV's Shawn Edwards sits down with the most talked about director this award season, Quentin Tarantino about his new film Django and what he feels about Spike viewing the film. Watch this exclusive interview only on BlackTree TV!

While Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" has been largely celebrated by critics, there is one person who is less than happy with the film. Filmmaker Spike Lee has spoken out against "Django" for the movie's portrayal of slavery.

"I cant speak on it cause I'm not gonna see it," Lee said in an interview with VIBETV. "All I'm going to say is that it's disrespectful to my ancestors. That's just me...I'm not speaking on behalf of anybody else."

haha, did anyone else notice the small shift in QT's accent and slang when he's talking to black people?

this isn't an interview, it's a competition to see which one is dressed more ridiculous

I love how Tarantino asks if he had a favorite scene at the end. It must be so intriguing to him

He's been rocking Wu-Wear since he collaborated with the RZA for Kill Bill. They've been good friends since then, and Tarantino wears the Wu-Wear clothing to help promote RZA.

Tarantino has such a damn good point about how the United States kind of avoids dealing with a lot of the horrid things we've done as a country in the past.

I don't always agree with Tarantino but he is spot on here. The best way to confront the past is to accept it for what it was.

I love how Tarantino does give a crap what the critics think.

There are people who seem to think that liking and supporting this film is the same as liking and supporting slavery. I have a strong suspicion that most of them have not seen the film, but rather crusade against something they don't really know anything about because someone else called it "racist." It's pretty clear that the film has an anti-slavery viewpoint. As others have said, Spike Lee is probably jealous he didn't think of the idea first.

Spike Lee is the kind of director that wants to lecture at me. Tarantino is the kind of guy that just wants to tell a good story.

From the Journalist: This if from Shawn: "Favorite Django Scenes"

1. Big Daddy (Don Johnson) explains to a slave girl how to treat Django (Jamie Foxx) on his plantation.

2. The Bag Head scene.

3. Stephen (Samuel L. Jackson) meet Django (Jamie Foxx), Django meet Stephen.

4. The run away flashback with Django (Jamie Foxx) and Broomhilda (Kerry Washington).

5. Opening Credit sequence with the Django theme song.

*those are the journalist favorite picks

"Thank you for asking!"

The ending is a little awkward when the interviewer up and leaves and then Quentin asks "Did you have a favorite scene?!".

Legend.

If anything was overly offensive I am sure Jamie and Kerry would have called Q on it.  Samuel Jackson would have not stood for it either.

Tarantino repping that wu-wear like a gee lol.
Rza probably hooked him some free merch when they were working together 👌

"That little guy has to buy is ticket." Tarantino is hilarious, and he makes a great point about discussing salary as a way that this country can start to heal, rather than simply avoiding. Kudos Quentin, Kudos to you!

Spike' may not like the concept behind Django but his hatred of Quentin runs deep. Back in the mid 90's there was a time where Spike praised QT and slapped him in the same sentence like at one point openly saying Quentin was a one tricky pony and he'd disappear eventually.. now Spike's movies are the ones disappearing quickly and Quentin is walking the red carpet at the Oscars. Sour grapes?
