Back in 2012, I was working for Home Depot. We had a problem where sometimes inventory was up top but not near the shelf where it's sold down below, so we may have to search for items so long, the customer got frustrated and left. I went to my manager with an idea that they could use RFID to locate items and the computer would know exactly where they were. She wasn't interested.

I understand it's not a local manager's place to promote ideas like that, but it would have been glorious! I see they still haven't fixed that problem.

Thanks for explaining the obvious but nothing about how RFID works

RFID is used more and more frequently in our lives, so as RFID manufacturers, we need to keep pace with the times and continue to learn.👍

Yep, and the next time your car is stolen out of your driveway you can thank RFID and it's CONVENIENCE for the thieves. Your keyless car fob is transmitting whenever a reader is within range. Great stuff!

Yeah, so how does it work, not just what does it do and where is it used?

They also use this in stores to keep you from stealing their merchandise. The bars at the door sense these devices when you walk out of the store when you don’t pay for a item and they are alerted to it and they catch you stealing their merchandise. You can find them in books, and in anything that they have it hidden inside of any merchandise.

Something I think this video should have included is that the typical passive RFID tag contains only a short, simple, unchanging code, such as a number. It doesn' contain much data.

But for Disney world or land etc..they even track how long you are at restaurants and washrooms which I don't need monitoring thanks 😊I'm not an item for sale

Hi, why so little on the actual tag? RF powered, RF response but how? What makes it selective? How is noise filtered? How easy to permanently damage the chip? Security algorithms? Please, I am subscribed but getting pissed of with once over lightly inadequate information.

I heard that Norway, Sweden, and Denmark have begun to install active RFID devices on all their ships. So, when the ships return from a mission, they can … “scan the navy in!”

This is the mark of the beast.
No one can buy, sell, or trade without this technology.

I was always under the impression that tap to pay used near field communication (NFC) which is a different standard?

Is there any level of encryption in RFIDs?

My wallet has several credit cards altogether. Would skimmers be able to identify each individually? Or would the signals be jamming each other?

Hi...Thanks for the informative video, it is very helpful in understanding the concept.

Can you make a video on different types of wireless communication present in modern cars and devide them based on their frequency such as RF, micro wave etc.
Also similar video wired communication types in modern car such as LIN, K line, KWP, CAN low speed, CAN High speed, CAN FD, Flex ray, MOST, DSI3 etc.. will be helpful to understand these concepts on a single video..

This video showed the application of the technology. It did no show how it works. 😔

Did not fully explain how it works. Sounded like an ad.
