Of course, the day I post this video, the welcome offer on the Brilliant Card gets elevated to 185, 000 points! Don't wait if your thinking of getting that card.

Today I entered the Sapphire Lounge IAD with my Ritz-Carlton card. AMEX cards need not try. The AFN got us a free night in Maui at the Ritz-Carlton, which would have cost $1, 976.R-C rocks.

I just got approved for the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card. I wanted to start the process of getting the Ritz card. I like staying at Marriotts, and I believe that I can fully take advantage of the credits and benefits. Plus, a small part of me wants to have such an obscure card for the cool factor. 😁

Ritz as a Keeper card, Brilliant just for the sub unless you stay ALOT at Marriott that the platinum status is worth it to you

The Ritz Carlton gets you into the Sapphire Lounge. It is a Visa Infiniti card

Marriott for sure. Credits are not limited to resorts.

I have The Brilliant card. I like the Boundless because you get an elite night for every $5000.00 you spend. No other Marriott card has that benefit.

Informative video, but I think you added an extra zero into the point valuation. It should be .7 CPP, not .07 CPP, otherwise the 95, 000 point bonus would only be worth $66.50.

It’d be nice if ritz was updated to have platinum status so people can move out of the Amex system for those getting brilliant just for status

I’ve mostly become a Marriott loyalist and recently received and completed the boundless sign on bonus. Looking forward to product changing to the Ritz later this year hopefully.🤞

I would go with chase, because visa is widely accepted.

Isn't there a caveat regarding the welcome bonus on the Brilliant that you have to wait 24 months if you got a welcome bonus on the Boundless. Also, I don't think you can get the Brilliant if you already have the Ritz-Carlton card. So, it looks like if you want both cards, you get the Boundless, then wait 24 months then get the Brilliant, and then after that, upgrade the Boundless to the RC. I'm not sure how long you have to wait after you get the Brilliant to do the upgrade though.

Is the wait for 1 year to change product from boundless to ritz mandatory?

What’s the advantage (s) of having both. If any?

I would like to see you compare the Visa Bonvoy to the Ritz card. Is the upgrade within chase worth it? What do you lose and what do you gain?

My problem with these cards is at their price point the 85, 000 point “free night” cap is not that valuable for me, I know you can top off points but I looked at rooms in Charleston, SC on a random weekend in the spring and rooms were Going for 120k points to 150k points, at least the Aspire has an uncapped free night. I know Marriott has variable pricing but I feel like this would force me to cherry pick where, when and how I use the “free night” award.
