There's a village in India who say that they are direct descendants of the Greek soldiers that fought with Alexander.
They don't allow foreigners in their village.
They actually do have phenotypic characters to that of an European like blue eyes

For those who have never being exposed to any evidences or any other sources of history around this region, you must know about Indian Empire of that time was Mauryan empire with it king Chandragupta I, who defeated Seleucus I Nicator(one of the four strongest army generals and successors of Alaxander the great). After getting defeated, Seleucus offered his daughter to Chandragupta I (Mauryan king) in exchange of his life (because nobody, ever in the history, offered their daughter to be stuffed by someones muscular staff without a defeat). If you do a better research on both side texts and scripts and connect the dots, you will come to know that why would an narcissistic conqueror, like Alaxander the great, would return back to his roots right before reaching the goal of his life??? because of some people saying no to his will??? or because he was defeated before even reaching the gates?? The Indian Empire was far beyond his imagination to ever win. He knew he will be slaughtered even before crossing Indus river. The Historians made sure that Europe is projected as the undefeated when writing the history. which is why they don't say anything clear about it or any part of history where they got defeated.

I don't understand why some of us Indians are so ultranationalist to the point we deny our own history just to make ourselves look good. Yes, the Greco-Indian kingdoms existed, and they ruled for a while. Alexander failed to conquer India but left a big cultural influence there. We need to learn to accept that we aren't some giant untouchable beasts that rule the universe for eternity, for we also have foreign influences, like us being Indo-European and the Brahmi script coming from Aramaic.

The current countries that were conquered by Alexander the Great must encourage the learning of the Greek language as a way to communicate with all the inhabitants of what was once the Macedonian Empire and with all those cultures.

In our Indian mythology the Yavan are mentioned, there was king Kaal Yavan who can not be defeated by any human or gods. lord Krishna tricked him to be killed by the general of God's who was in sleep and had boon that anyone who disturbed his sleep will be killed by him irrespective if he is god or human.

Actually, it was Kanishka who ordered these statues to be built; and in those days there was a great deal of cultural exchange on both the sides, there were Greek coins with carvings of Shiva and other Gods. These were not they Greeks who resided in India and got converted; artisans were actually called to make statues of Buddha and these statues are the first attempt to visualise Buddha in a statue form. The so-called converted Greeks have nothing to do with theses statues.
