I have done this before. I added some stain to a small amount of the plastic wood and put a smear of it on the word. Let it dry and if it needs more stain, add a little and do it again. When you get the correct amount of stain then go ahead and fill your hole and sand away all the other stuff. 3:27

Maybe could drill holes bigger and use dowel rod for plugs? And glue of course

To make the area match much better with stain application, take a wire brush and lightly brush over the area in the same direction as the grain once product is 95% dry, it will help sell the look as long as the colour is matching with the natural surface. Becarfully not to over apply pressures as it will cause damage

I always enjoy your videos! Only wish you posted more! 🤪I can’t ever get my stain to match the color of this filler for some reason. Not sure what I do wrong.

What was the purpose of staining first if you sanded off the stain?

When dealing with a 1/4 inch screw hole in a wall I’m thinking a combo of matchsticks, toothpicks, wood glue and wood filler in the deepest portion, jam it all in there as deep as possible, and then a wood dowel covered in both glue and wood filler shoved in last and hammered in to be flush with the wall, then one last scrapped layer of wood glue and filler. Let it dry, and bing bang boom my stripped wood hole is ready for me to fuck it up again with too much torque

Thanks for the video! Any idea what the best method is for filling screw holes that are 3” deep? At that point I’m not sure if this type of product would be best, or maybe a wooden dowel. For the dowel I’d have to drill the holes a bit bigger and I’d rather avoid that if possible.

Add some stain to the product before filling/applying so it matches as close as possible!? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Apples and Oranges. The plastic is resistant to staining, highest probability it will never stain to look differently. If it were paint it would cover it up bu the nature or stain is based on absorption of the stain.

I would just use wood glue and toothpicks
