The newest versions of QGIS come with SAGA 7.x. Some tools however give errors. An example is the Upslope Area tool to delineate catchments.
This also affects the latest LTR version. This video shows how to install QGIS with the old dependencies, so you can use SAGA 2.x and avoid the errors.

Thanks for your hard work Hans.
I was wondering whether the SAGA Next Gen toolset would be suitable to run your IHE algorithms or do we still need to download the earlier QGIS LTR to make them work?

I have upgraded to 3.22 and realised today I couldn't run the Points to Catchment Plugin. I had to uninstall 3.22 and re-install 3.18 instead. It's working fine now. Is it possible to run 3.22 alongside with 3.16/23.18?

Does this also help with the GRASS tool errors as well? I have been getting errors with the new releases with both SAGA and GRASS on both PCs and Macs.

wondering if I should delete the installation folder for newer versions with 7.x SAGA that I have installed and then uninstalled, I have a deadline for tomorrow so its no rush really /s

Hello I am trying to use SAGA for uoslope area, how can I install old saga version 2.x.x on this version? If I try to install it from plugin manager, it installs SAGA 7.X

Hi There, I would like to download and install the 3.16 version so that the SAGA upslope tool works, but I can't find the link to download that version. I can only download LTR version 3.28 (and I've tested the upslope and it doesn't work on version 3.28). Can you send me a link a to the 3.16 version please or tell me where to find it on the download page?
