SO Glad to see Certina finally getting a mention! I own two Certina watches and I absoluely love the value at their prices. I believe Certina to be the best offerings at around the $500-$1000 range, comparable with Mido but with a more casual vibe and sports oriented line of products. Too bad they seem to have discontinued a specific line of DS Podium quartz watch that offers chronograph and GMT in the same dial (which I own), but you can still get one of those if you search hard enough online.

Richard Habring’s contributions deserve the attention. Great work. Habring(2) outstanding collection of horology.

Saw the title and just knew Certina had to be in this, absolutly adore my SuperPH 500m and my DS Action Diver. The first because of it's heritage, the latter because in the line of work I do watches get abused through intense heat, heavy hits and all kinds of oils. Owned it for many years now and runs as good as it was brand new. Might be upgrading my work watch to the 38mm, but havent had a reason to do so since it just works so well. Bracelet and it's extension just works a treat and I have a genuine love for the brand because of this ruggedness, history, but also because of the incredible value for money.

More like this would be great! I'm already a Certina fan but the detailed information about those not-well-known brands was fascinating and enlightening! Thanks!

Teddy, I would like to see you do some interviews with the owners of some American microbrand companies, like Detroit Watch Company, Weiss Watch Company, and Vortic Watches like you did with RGM Watches. It seems the last 10 years have been the beginnings of an American watch manufacturing renaissance movement. These brands are definitely underrated, and it would be interesting to see you use your platform to draw attention to these companies and what their goal is, instead of, like you said, always focusing the discussion on "the same 5 to 10 watch companies" (I.e. Rolex, Patek, Audemars, Vacheron, Omega, Seiko, Nomos, Longines, Hamilton, Tudor, etc.)

Thanks, teddy,
I like how you inform and appreciate the watch brands across all price and style ranges without being biased toward any particular brand.

Best of luck.❤️

Exceptional content @teddy balddasarre. After 2 years, you've shown a strong side of affordable luxury watches. Trilobe and Habring are gems for the price.

I was wondering if you'll mention Certina, and I was happy to see it here! Great brand, great watches. It definitely needs more love from the watch community.

Armin Strom also does work for other companies. Christopher Ward, for example, has consulted with them a few times at least, including on the recent Bel Canto. They're a good citizen in the watch making sphere by the sounds.
