How to handle a friend who refuses to acknowledge an apology and wants to end the friendship

Most people love a genuine, heartfelt apology! It takes a lot of humility to give one. You’d be surprised how many people don’t own their stuff and say wack things like “well, I’m sorry for the way you feel” or “that’s your problem, not mine” or “well, yeah, you annoyed me”. They could be enjoying the power. You did your best. Don’t grovel. Learn from it. Other people will appreciate you!

I love your videos! So few people gave the ability to be so straight to the point. Amazingly helpful. I’d love a video on how to find friends who ‘wish me well’ I’ve spent a lifetime of having to move on from friendships because I meet such unbelievably competitive people. It always amazes me, no matter how different we are, they always decide they should have what I have, even if they have totally different skills and interests. I’ve more or less given up on having friends because it’s so hurtful. I’m very encouraging and supportive but rarely get it in return.

Or sometimes it’s something they said or did that was just too much or too often disrespectful and sorry seems light! Then you start to evaluate the friendship and value it brings to you and you realize it’s not worth hanging on to. Even though you may accept the apology it’s just not enough in the whole realm of things. You’re ready for new people new vibes that bring more joy in your life. Like out with the old in with the new, because sometimes friendships get too comfortable and they feel they can say and do things to old friends and sometimes people need to step away from old friendships to make time and effort toward finding new quality friendship.

Depends on what it is and if they have a pattern of doing things like this. I see it from both sides sometimes people hold grudges over the most pettiest things but sometimes it could be something really big that creates a trust issue. If you cant trust someone or if your friendship/relationship with them seems fake or one sided then thats a red flag that their not really your friend and you need to just not have anything to do with them.

Damn I would LOVE if my friend was capable of apologizing. But of course they've never done anything worth apologizing for their entire life, so...granted they've been rude, abusive, condescending, manipulative, disloyal, untruthful, and have cheated cheated on their fiancé multiple times, as well as every other relationship they've been in since they were 14, but yeah, everything was my fault. Always. Yep.

What about a friend that constantly points out my typos or grammar mistakes in texts messages and makes me feel dumb for not knowing something. It’s starting to get really annoying and I’m now feel like I have to Google everything before I have something to tell him. We’ve only been friends since August.
