I'm an atheist. Yes, I lack belief in gods. But I also believe there are no gods. I realize that this shifts some of the burden of justification (not proof; beliefs don't require proof, merely rational justification) over to me. Can I rationally justify my belief that there are no gods? Sure. Gods show every sign of being human ideas. No holy book shows any knowledge beyond what could have been written at the time. The graveyard of gods is a big one. I could go on. But is the burden of justification shared equally between the the theist and the hard atheist? No. Just as extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, extraordinary beliefs call for more justification than everyday, mundane beliefs. So, which is the more extraordinary belief, that there is a god or that there are no gods. Obviously the former. Therefore the theist _always_ carries the greater burden of justification, even against the hard atheist.

Belief in the latter necessitates belief in the former.

the problem i have with Mr Rubin, is that his target audience is the people most likely to not understand what hes talking about in this video...also, Mr Rubin often likes to stereotype people because of their religion, whether or not those people in that religion try to push their religion on others...

I am an atheist as well, but we actually have proof that Jesus exist. He was a real Jewish man.

But the claims of "He has risen" or "Rose from the dead", well, ofcourse, THAT is a lie
