The temperature of the lava does not only change the brightness, but also the colour of the glow. The colour temperature used for photo/film is actually exactly that. Lower temperature is more towards red.. higher temperatures shift towards blue. For more information check out "black-body radiation" on wikipedia. Knowing that, you can actually estimate an object's temperature based on the colour of the glow. Blacksmiths actually do that.

you should do a negative bob ross challenge, where you paint in the negative colours and then put the filter on at the end to make it look normal!

Galaxy clock idea: The center is a nebula, with pinholes trickled throughout that a soft light can shine through. Some pinholes bigger than others for brighter stars and dimmer ones. Maybe a pre-drilled base from the CNC? The 12, 3, 6, and 9 are small planets. The other numbers are comets or asteroids. The hands have a small strip of LEDs going down them so it's an outline of the hand. And, of course, the UFO is backlit so it's floating and flying around the clock.

I was in a sports bar yesterday, and when I looked up one of the tvs was playing a compilation of people and robots, what I didn't at all expect was seeing Evan and Katelyn on the TV, doing the portraits of eachother with their small robot
