New Google Home Update Adds Daylong Assistant Routines, Delayed Starts, & More

Google has been working on its smart home application lately with a number of new features including daylong routines, delayed starts, and more finally making their way to the app.

Google Home has been receiving a number of updates over the last few weeks with the new features adding up to quite a new experience (for some users).

First, the app has now received a way to create a "daylong" routine without having to jump through hoops creating multiple routines and trying to stitch them together. Now, you can set a day long routine that will perform a number of custom actions over the course of a day (or multiple days).

This also allows Google to integrate a "delayed start" feature that has also begun showing up in the application as well. You'll see this feature under the routine actions section when setting one up.

Lastly, the Google Home app can now disable or enable entire routines with a simple toggle that you'll find at the top of the page when creating or editing these daylong routines.

Delay start is great and all... But I really need delays in seconds, not minutes and hours...

Delayed action doesn't work for me...it shows a msg "these actions need your attention"

what is absolutely annoying with this is the audio device CANNOT be the phone for some silly reason. If the routine is set to start any other way other than voice "when I say" it fails. I do not have any google devices other than my phone so the audio fails and the routine fails.
Every single time I try to create a routine it will work if voice started but fails when not. I get a notifications it is running but needs attention and all the commands are failed.
I saw only once where I could start using a dismissed timer or alarm but never saw that again. I was looking for why this was not working and ran across another individual in his question mention this alarm dismiss was the only solution he had but I cannot find it any long on my phone
Would love some help with this.

Sadly there is still no Geo fencing and no option to pick sunrise or sunset
