Update: The current processing time is approximately 3 months. USCIS has sped up their processing speed. So it is faster than mentioned in the video :)

Note: I am not an immigration lawyer nor associated with USCIS. All the information provided are our personal tips based on our own journey for the K1 Visa Process.

Great video, but the tip about Hep B vaccine isn't accurate.

from USCIS
Q. Certain vaccine series can only be completed with multiple visits to the civil surgeon. Am I required to complete the entire series before the civil surgeon can sign the Form I-693?
A. You are only required to receive a single dose of each vaccine when you visit the civil surgeon. You are encouraged to follow up with your private health care provider to complete the series. Once you have received the single dose appropriate at the time, the civil surgeon can sign and certify the Form I-693. The COVID-19 vaccine is the exception to this requirement. You must complete the COVID-19 vaccine primary series (for example, 1 or 2 doses, depending on which vaccine, in adults; 2 or 3 doses, depending on age and which vaccine, in children) and provide documentation of vaccination to the civil surgeon in person before completion of the medical examination. For more information about the COVID-19 vaccination requirement see the CDC Technical Instructions.

At what point do you receive the NVC interview letter? Does the petitioner receive it or does the beneficiary receive it?

My fiance' and I are currently in the midst of the K1 Visa process! I have watched MANY K1 videos on YouTube to learn, confirm, and reaffirm what to expect. THIS IS TRULY WONDERFUL...and I can say THE BEST! Thank you so much! Your ability to share information and make it palatable is amazing! PS: SO HAPPY to report that we just got approved!!!! 🥰 I know there is still SO MUCH more to do before travel to the USA and a wedding happens, but we're on the pathway! Really appreciate your help and guidance!

I am working on my application now. This is sorry helpful, I was dreading doing it myself. But getting a lawyer is way too expensive at the moment. This is so helpful

Thanks for the great videos ! Your videos have helped my fiancé and I through the process since February ! Our case just got changed to “ready” at the London embassy. Do you know if we must wait for the embassy to send the instructions letter prior to booking medical, interview and completing DS-160? Or can we go ahead and do these now without the instructions letter?

Good evening. On August 13, 2024, I sent an e-mail to the NVC requesting our case number, using almost the exact same language you suggested and in less that 48 hours, we received it via email. Thank you so much for everything you do to help others.

By far this is the most informative video about the K1 process. There are lots of videos about the K1/Fiancé Visa, but they skip very important steps. There is a lot that needs to be happening after the initial petition is approved but before the interview takes place, and I think this video really highlights that. Case in point- get your vaccines done as the Hep vaccine takes time. I am currently going through the process for my fiancé and just last week, USCIS approved the I-129 in just 4 months! Incredibly fast as I thought this first step would take long according to their wait times for processing.

Hello!!! Thanks for these videos. I wanted to ask you if I (the beneficiary) could pay for the I-129F fee instead of my boyfriend (the petitioner). Ty!

This is the clearest guide ive watched for a long time. As a current uk Beneficiary, I believe that a UK ACOS police certificate UK 'copy' has to be included in K1 folder and then ACOS updated closer to the visa interview in London embassy, approx 14 months later (or however long it will take) So it will be 2 purchases of this ACOS document. But I might be 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸

Hello again my friend! So we're confused about all of the passport photos that they are asking for. The USCIS required 2 passport pics each, for the I-129 packet, so we did that. Now, we're working on the "Embassy Interview Packet" and they are asking for 2 more passport pics of my Beneficiary, so we went and took two more pics of her. Now, I'm looking at the "Medical Exam Checklist" and they want 4 more passport pics! Do the last 4 need to be different from the last 2 we took for the Embassy packet? What are they doing with all of these passport pics? lol Does my beneficiary need to go get 4 more NEW pics taken? Gosh this is confusing. Thank you for your help. We wouldn't be this far without your videos! And we feel like we know you : )

This video and the one you made on the I-129f form have been so reassuring for me. These were the most relatable and usable presentations I have come across and I have been researching this for months. Thank you!

Hi,
If I send the paperwork by next week, do you think my fiance would be able to come to my graduation by May 2025?
