The Farlands should be a legit thing in MC, they should contain corrupted and warped versions of normal mobs. They'll fit right into the glitched and distorted landscape. Imagine finding a village, and all the villagers faces are inverted or something, Or coming across a zombie and its leg and arms have swapped places. Players inside the Farlands should have a "Corrupt" status effect, causing the players controls and movement to be swapped and inverted and such.

Despite them being a glitch, I think the farlands should be an actual feature in the game. This may be pushing it a bit, but I think there should be a lot of treasure there to reward you for traveling the great distances.

In case everyone wants to learn how the Far Lands form...

Minecraft uses a 3d fractal noise terrain generation and for some reason 1 block represent 171.103 units of this generator so this means that each block adds 171.103. Since minecraft is using a 32-bit generator if we devide the highest 32-bit value which is 2^31 or 2, 147, 483, 648 with the units each block adds we should get 12, 550, 824 wich is the exact distance (in blocks) from center where the Far Lands start to form because the equation the world generator uses cannot work without a valid 32-bit number so everything starts to go crazy...whats even weirder is that at about 32M (million) blocks Java itself breaks and everything beyond this limit is a ghost block or a block that is not solid at all and you can pass through it so you would pretty much fall in the void but Minecraft can still generate chunks until the block number also reach the 32-bit intiger limit and then Java would crash imediately if you get past this limit but even though this limit you should technicaly and only technicaly as soon as you have 64-bit version of Java get all the way to 9.2 quintillion blocks which is the 64-bit intiger limit and if Minecraft still exists at this point then after getting past this last limit everything would flash in and out of existance. Beyond this you ll find nothingness and get a 100% guarantee crash...

The farlands were created because the minecraft layer generation was 16 bit. So when it's overflowing it's doing weird stuffs. In the full version there was a new generation algorithm, 32 bits and there was a block system for world generation. When it's 32 bit, It stops generating.
