1/4 c (60g) Milk
5T (70g) Butter OR : 2.5T (35g) Butter and 2.5T (35g) Shortening
1/2t (5ml) Vanilla
1/2t (5ml) Almond extract

I agree, sugar cookies need a firm frosting. I have been able to get mine to a perfect consistency using all butter but I do think it takes a little trial and error to get a good feel for the perfect frosting consistency. Bloopers are fun!
