Recently a local gas station franchise from my state started making them in their bakery (yes I know that’s weird) and they are genuinely the best kind of these cookies I’ve ever had, soft, and actually kinda moist n soft, and the flavor is PEAK

Also, somewhat off topic, but sour cream is literally insane. I baked with it for the first time the other day, and idk if it was entirely because of the sour cream or if the recipe was just good (I’m attributing it to the sour cream partially because I’d never baked with it before) but the batter was so good and light both because of the sour cream and because I folded in the flour, and the final product was also amazing

the big thing about these cookies though is that they're made in a nut free facility so it's perfect for school or work functional. (I work at a grocery store. that's how I recommend them is the nut free paert)

bro, you know it’s weird. I followed your recipe and I think I might’ve added too much ingredients. I don’t know, but it ended up turning into like a cake mixture and then I turned the cookie batter into a sugar cookie cake and honestly, it was amazing and then I followed your recipe after it made the cookies. The cake was honestly better than the cookies you should try that‼️

Made my own loft house cookies once with strawberry frosting… amazing.

You might get closer to that dry, crumbly frosting with the addition of corn starch. The icing they use is sort of a hybrid between buttercream and royal icing.
