ABOUT ME: Hallo, Servus, and welcome to my channel! My name is Felicia (Feli), I'm 30 years old, and I'm a German living in the USA! I was born and raised in Munich, Germany but have been living in Cincinnati, Ohio off and on since 2016. I first came here for an exchange semester during my undergrad at LMU Munich, then I returned for an internship, and then I got my master's degree in Cincinnati. I was lucky enough to win the Green Card lottery and have been a permanent resident since 2019! In my videos, I talk about cultural differences between America and Germany, things I like and dislike about living here, and other topics I come across in my everyday life in the States. Let me know what YOU would like to hear about in the comments below. DANKE :)

For me "Stille Nacht" (Silent Night) was, is and will be forever my favorite christmas song! Merry Christmas to all who read this!

I think this is the first time I've heard Stille Nacht sung in German by Germans!

In 1985 I was stationed in Nuremberg, and that city did Christmas like no other city in the world! What an experience!! It was something I'll never forget!

Listening to your family singing the carols choked me up. We came to the US in 1963 from Germany and I have not heard the German carols since then. It was pretty emotional for this 73 year old. Thank you and hertzliches neues yahr.

My mother was German and my father was American. We had both American and German traditions. My mom put candles on the tree and we had electric lights on the tree too. My mom lite the candles on Christmas Eve and we sang German Christmas songs. Then she put them out and plugged the lights in and sang American Christmas songs.😅

I spent 3 years in Germany (USAF) and miss the gluhwein. My friend and his wife lived off base and their German neighbor gave them some that was home made. It was sooo good!

My Dad passed earlier this month and this is the hardest Christmas without him. I am however grateful he was blessed to be 100 years old and 6 months before the Lord called him Home.

I was just asking my mom and aunt why we did fondue on Christmas eve! My grandpa's parents are from Germany (Kircheim unter Tech) and I wasn't sure if it was actually a German tradition something my family started. I was so happy to see it in your video!

The best Christmases is with children. To see the awe and wonder in their eyes makes the holiday truly memorable. And that viewpoint my friend is internationally felt and cherished.

This video makes me miss my mom who passed in 2006. She was born in 1937 in Augsburg. She brought many traditions to America with her.

Feli, I’ve only discovered you a few months ago but you already have a place in my heart. You are so lovely….says the gushing American! 😂 But it is sincerely felt. I’m 66 years old, have a college degree in German and have never been to Germany - my biggest dream. Recently I’ve been trying to recapture my German skills, though I was never fluent, through Easy German. Wish I’d had all the amazing technology to learn a language back in 1979! My daughter and her husband plan to take me to Munich for Oktoberfest in 2025 as he goes every year at that time working for a German company based in Munich. I cannot get enough of your videos and am honored to have witnessed a bit of a true traditional German Christmas. I know the German words to the carols but listening to your family singing those carols on Christmas Eve touched me to the core. Thank you for sharing! All the best to you and Ben in 2025. ❤

Frohe Weinachten Feli und Familie!
Thanks so much for this wonderful video! My entire family was born in Germany and I’m the only Canadian born member. So much of what you shared brought back fond memories of my childhood. I wish you and Ben and the rest of your family, the most blessed of Christmases and the most joyous of New Year’s! Love from Canada, Irene.
