Unfortunately, I cannot watch before I buy because… well, you know. I buy first, ask questions later.

For beginners like me i would go with Zve10, as it opens the door for Great experimentation and learning to deal with a camera.
It's downside is like advantage
If it doesn't have IBIS, then we'll learn how to hold a camera to make the footage stable
If it doesn't have EVF we'll learn the art of framing.
That 'Learning' is important.
Thanks for this great video.

I have used my friend's zve10 and tried slog3, what I find very interesting is when converting manually the color seems a bit weird, but if you convert it using davinci's cst or dehancer the footage looks clean and colors look crisp and almost the same as viewed with naked eyes. On top of that if you just increase saturation in slog3 settings to 20 or 25, and later bring it down in post. There is noticeably less banding visible.
I feel if we limit zve10 to 500 ISO slog3 +20 sat and expose properly and adjust lighting, aperture just to remain in the native slog3 iso of 500, the footage that comes out is the best that zve10 can offer.
And regarding magenta hue, I feel setting white balance tint slightly in camera improves it.

I love my little ZV-E10 and it taught me so much and is a great starter camera.
Recently upgraded to the FX30 so I can use all my current lenses.

One thing i really like about zve10 over a6700 is the way image / footage looks. It simply looks more cinematic/filmic on zve10 when compared to a6700 which looks more digital.
Thanks for your efforts in making a detailed comparison.

I'm wondering if I should upgrade to the A6700 from the ZV-E10, and this video actually helps a lot for that as well! I'm staying for the ZV-E10 for now since in my country, the A6700 is almost 3x the price of the ZV-E10. Only thing I really miss is weather sealing.

Great comparison! Thanks Joe!!! I am happy to be the owner of both bodies. When I'm out in the wild, I carry the A6700 with the Tamron 150-500 and the ZV-E10 with the wide-angle landscape option in my small bag. The ZV-E10 lags a little behind when it comes to tracking animals and birds, and it's also a little behind when it comes to rolling shutter. When I compare the number of photos taken per month, it's 50:50. However, I'm also a bit lazy when it comes to changing the 150-500. But when it comes to video work, there is no option. The a6700 has much more functionality, especially when it comes to wireless connection and remote control!

I have a ZV-E10 and it’s never ever disappointed ! Just looking at the features for the A6700, I think I may have to crank up to that sooner or later .

Thanks for sharing your experience with the APS-C, especially with the ZV-10 for the client gig. I agree both cameras are generally good and give an excellent image quality. But the most important are the lenses and of course, the settings but the lenses make a huge difference. I definitely go for the Sigma 18-50 F2.8 for all-round and in low light, the Sigma 56mm F1.4 will be my prime lens for my gunpla content also it has some awesome bokeh and the image quality is sharper. In my opinion, the APS-C is really handy and easy to travel while the FFC is more expensive and heavy but the sensor is better. I think FFC is a little overkill plus the prices are ridiculous and with the APS-C you get really excellent image quality and the prices are quit reasonable. I'm still determined to go for the A6700 love the design and grip and it has 10bit. It give me more benefit and serve me for the upcoming 5 to 10 years. I'm still saving money it's almost there to buy it I cannot wait!!!

Great comparison and reviews. Best I've seen. I wish you had discussed weather sealing. That is the number 1 reason I chose the a6700, as I shoot in rainy-ish environments. Also, IBIS saves money on non-OSS lenses.

Another fantastic, professionally done comparison video. You really did a thorough job of comparing these two cameras on every level. I've shot with both the a6700 and the ZV-E10. You showed the strengths and issues with both of them. Anyone who is looking to choose between these two cameras would have all the information they would need to make an informed decision by watching this video. Great job. I hope you hit 100K subscribers in 2024. You really deserve a larger audience.

Image quality isn't everything. I think we can agree that any modern mirrorless can produce a good image, even the a6100. The difference is in those extra small features the a6700 gives you. Having the photo settings separate from the video settings, having an extra dial, having the viewfinder, 4k120, 10 bit, and probably more than I can't even remember. Obviously if you have the 2 cameras shooting the same settings at 4k24, they're going to produce virtually the same image, but it's not about that. It's about those small nuances that are improved in the newer camera.

I love shooting on the a6700. Whenever I shoot with the older cameras, I'm always frustrated it's missing a certain feature or that I have to do an extra step, or accessing things in the menu just take longer, or the touch screen doesn't work how I want it to.

I'm torn between the ZV-e1 and the a6700. I have a ZV-E10 with 11mm 1.8 and 18-50mm 2.8. My dream would be a ZV-E1 (mainly because of the low light capabilities and the ZV-E10 concept). but then I would also have to invest in expensive and heavier FF lenses. would the 6700 be the best compromise for a hobby videographer?
