FromSoftware made SO much money from Elden Ring they can afford to publish their own games outside of Japan now. They no longer have to share profits from their hard work with a 3rdparty. Though Bandai Namco's trailers and promotion for Elden Ring were stellar! Congratulations FromSoft!!

Ok, so, I read in a comment that Bandai contacted with Brandon Sanderson to collaborate on a game just as Martin did.

If you need any prove about this leak being true, I can say the involvement of Sanderson and the heavy magic focus gameplay is a reason to believe this leak.

For those of you guys that don't read books, Brandon Sanderson is the biggest fantasy author alive today. The dude make a Kickstarter campaign for three or four books (I forgot, tbh) asking for one million to self publish his novels. A month later the Kickstarter campaign ended raising 41 MILLION dollars. 41 MILLION dollars. The guy is very talented at writing, his worlds are very imaginative, always trying to get away from classic fantasy settings (this game is going to be inspired by the 1700's/1800's right?) AND, the most important aspect, his magic/power systems, which are considered amongst the best in recent fantasy fiction, are always very creative and intricate in mechanics.

He coined the terms "hard & soft magic" refering to magic systems that are very well defined, with rules and clear and detailed information about how the magic works (hard) and the more mystical and loosely defined forms of magic (soft, like in Harry Potter). And allomancy, the magic system of his most famous book series, Mistborn, has being described as "too video-gamey" by some critics.

Maybe this leak is just a lie and the guy who make the original post knew about Sanderson collaboration with From Software and used that information to create this lie. But all the details about the game makes me think they're real because the setting and the magic focus gameplay sounds like something Sanderson would do

This leak has given me hope for a real caster update, after Elden Ring's lack of ambition to change it up.

(The spells are great, but if you're not playing a Spellsword, the options and support are just lacking for Pure Caster builds.)

I want fromsoftware to keep trying new mechanics and new settings.I don't want them to play it safe.making another game that is too similar to darks souls and elden ring would limit their creativity imo

it's obvious that they will work on a next gen game... and Fromsoft did have many old games that focuses on magic.. but what made me like fromsoft games is melee combat which was engaging and fun..

am not fan of typical mage classes in games where you keep shooting from disance.. unless fromsoft manages to make magic in games as fun as melee..

Im still waiting for velvet veil leak, project intestine: Armored Core leak where you play as an android taking order from AI and it play like souls game and in the open area you use mech, and underwater dark souls.
